Community Programs & Projects

  • FIRE SAFETY COLORING BOOK PROGRAM ~ Providing educational coloring books to 2nd graders throughout North Carolina, aimed to promote burn and fire safety awareness to children; "Stop, Drop, Cover & Roll", "How To Get Out Of A Burning Building", Don't Play With Matches" and "Go To The Fire Fighters".

  • BURNED-OUT RESPONSE~ Working hand in hand with the American Red Cross to provide food, clothing & shelter to local house fire victims.

  • CAMP CELEBRATE ~ Hosted by the Jaycee Burn Center at UNC Hospital, is a weekend camp in Wake Forest, North Carolina for children ages 7-15 who have survived traumatic burn injuries; activities include swimming, canoeing, arts & crafts, as well as an opportunity to meet other kids who share the experience of being burned.

  • JAYCEE BURN CENTER ~ Supporting the burn center at UNC Hospital where the fire fighters go if they are injured on duty. It is also the best center in the state for children, assisting local families of burn victims with extraneous expenses, such as travel to and from the burn center.

  • FALLEN FIRE FIGHTER FUND ~ To provide resources and assist families of the fire fighters that were injured or lost their lives in the line of duty, and to work within the fire service community to help reduce fire fighter death and injury.

  • SMOKE DETECTOR PROGRAM ~ Providing smoke detectors to families who cannot afford them.

  • FIRE FIGHTERS COATS FOR KIDS ~ Community outreach program established 

  • CHILDREN'S ADVOCACY CENTERS ~ To support local communities by promoting and assisting in the development, growth and continuation of accredited children's advocacy centers in order to better serve abused and neglected children and their families.
